I’m a nature photographer. Last week I visited Black Rock Mountainlocated in Mountain City, GA to take pictures of insects and mountains. It rained the first couple of days and was a little chilly. I had hoped to capture some pics of bears and raccoons but that didn’t happen. Despite this I was able to do some hiking, relax, meditate, and be one with nature.
The highlight of my trip was sitting on a hill in front of Black Rock Mountain Lake and meditating as the wind blew through my hair. The sounds of chirping birds and insects sifted into my mediation as I thanked God for that moment, for good health, for being able to do photography, for being able to appreciate the wonderful experience of nature.
Afterwards I was able to meet this Lizard friend resting on a nearby rock. So cute, right?
Nature is Healing: Why I Love Nature
When I’m outside I smile, laugh, and talk to God. I feel directly connected to a higher power and am spiritually uplifted. My thinking is clearer, my creativity is heightened, my spirit is calm.
I’m flowing with the wind, a blue piece of the sky, a fluttering leaf on a tree. I truly am a piece of nature and at peace with nature.
Nature is Healing to the Mind and Body
I often take nature trips to reset myself and clear away negativity. I talk to the trees, insects, and animals while I take pictures of them. I‘m happy to be able to share space with them and am humbled by how connected all of God’s creatures are.
Nature is healing and the best prescription for health. If you have health problems like high blood pressure or depression, go to nature and ask it to help heal you. Become a part of nature and let your mind be healed so depression floats away. Let the stress go away so your blood pressure will lower. Your mind and body deserve it!
Enjoy my pictures of nature at Black Rock Mountain and (where noted),Amicalola Falls (in Dawsonville, GA) . My next picture taking trip will be this week to Gibbs Gardens in Ball Ground, GA
